Covid-19….what to expect at your next appointment

We have been working hard behind the scenes here at East End Orthodontics, increasing our hygiene procedures to make sure that our practice is safe, so that we can continue to support our patients with their orthodontic needs during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Some of the changes we have put in place will make your next appointment a little different.

One of the biggest changes is that, for everyone’s safety, we are only allowing one person into the surgery at a time to promote social distancing regulations.  An exception to this rule is for new patients under the age of 16 who can bring an adult with them to their first two appointments.

Before Your Appointment

In the lead up to your appointment, you will be sent two text messages; one confirming the date and time of your appointment, and the other a link to a COVID-19 assessment.  Via this link, you will be asked a series of questions regarding whether you have been experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms*.

The Day Of Your Appointment

Upon arrival, the front door to the practice will be locked.  Simply ring the doorbell and take a few steps back.  A member of our friendly team will greet you.  You will be taken to our sanitising station in the reception area, to sanitise your hands.

The practice will be quiet, with very few people present.  We are restricted in the number of patients we can see in a day.  Our reception desk now features a perspex screen, and our team will be wearing various items of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), which may look a little strange.  You don’t need to worry, it’s still our happy faces behind the masks and we will be sure to make your visit as comfortable as possible.

Each surgery is fully disinfected and deep cleaned in between each patient and we check the temperature of all of our team members in the practice each day before work begins.

Once the surgery is ready, one of our team will escort you through to see the orthodontist.  Upon completion, you will be taken back to the front desk where you can make your follow up appointment, if needed, before you leave the practice.  We will ask you to use our hand sanitising station once again on your way out.

Please note that our toilets are unavailable for patient use; please plan ahead and use home or other facilities prior to arriving at the practice.

Please bring with you:
